Pop art was a visual arts movement in the 1950s and 1960s that developed independently in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Pop art took its subjects from popular culture, from beer cans and soft drinks to illustrated stories. This artistic movement, also known as a response to the seriousness and formality of abstract expressionism, not only influenced later artists but also graphically influenced fashion and advertising.
The tools of pop art were a society in which the abundance of consumer goods and the influence of the mass media spread rapidly, but the artists of this movement tried to use it in their works and represent everyday life before seeking to denigrate or sanctify the culture of such a society. In this workshop, participants will get acquainted with the famous artists and artworks of this movement.
