There is no exact definition for the "modern art"; This art is still a variable word for which broad meanings can be found. However, it is commonly said that "modern art" means artworks created between 1870 and 1970. This "modern period" emerged after a long period of mastery of the Renaissance-inspired academic art and was promoted and developed by a network of European universities of fine arts.
