Cubism has been considered one of the most influential art movements in the twentieth century. Cubist paintings create a vague sense of space by using geometric shapes that flatten and smooth out designs and using crushed space surfaces or shapes that roll or pass over adjacent shapes. Cubism is derived from the root “cube”, by Louis Vauxcelles (art critic) to one of the world's greatest art movements, as it is named after one of Georges Braque's paintings, which is full of small cubes. In this online Art history workshop, participants will get acquainted with the famous artists and paintings of this movement.
